About the Savanna

Savannas are similar to grasslands but unlike grasslands that don't have trees, savannas do have trees, but not enough rain for it to become a forest. Savannas are warmer than average grasslands, with average temperatures of 70° F or more. The majority of the rain is during the summer, with an average rainfall of 15 to 25 inches. Savannas are typically found in East Agrica, certain countries in South America, and northern Australia.

Location: Between desert and rainforest, mostly near equator
